Iran ambassador in Moscow believes Arab states betrayed Syria

“Why the lessons of the fates of the Shah of Iran, Hosni Mubarak, Ben Ali and Ali Abdullah Saleh are wasted on them?”

MOSCOW, March 13 (Itar-Tass) — Iranian Ambassador in Moscow Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi believes that Arab countries have betrayed Syria. The diplomat wrote this in his Internet blog.

“While the stuck-in-the-mud Arab leaders are busy fabricating a case against Syria (claiming at the same time that they “sympathise with the Syrian people”), 21 Palestinians were killed and dozens of women and children wounded in Gaza in bombing by the occupational Israeli regime,” he writes. “The blind and deaf Arab leaders are accomplices of Israel, they support it with their silence.”

“Are these slain women and children not people?” The ambassador asked. “Are only the Syrian rebels, armed with the Arab money and killing other people left and right, people?” Sajjad also asks why Arab countries have not demonstrated “any concern when 40,000 Libyans were killed by NATO bombardments, or when the army of Ali Abdullah Saleh killed 12,000 Yemenis?”

“Where some of these Arab leaders eventually go and how much graver they still want to make their sin - the sin of betrayal?” the Iranian diplomatic mission head said. “Why the lessons of the fates of the Shah of Iran, Hosni Mubarak, Ben Ali and Ali Abdullah Saleh are wasted on them?”

The Iranian ambassador hopes that Russian Muslims will “also raise their voices in criticising the abovementioned Arab countries and make these Arab leaders understand that they condemn their hypocritical behaviour.”
