KIEV, March 13 (Itar-Tass) — Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuri Boiko said on Tuesday that this year Ukraine will supply about 100 billion cubic meters of transit gas.
“It will be about 100 billion this year, the same amount it used to be,” the minister said after Ukrainian-Turkmen negotiations.
According to Ukraine’s Ukrtransgas Company, last year Ukraine increased transit gas supplies by 5.6 billion cubic meters as compared with 2010, bringing them to 104.2 billion cubic meters. Supplies to the European Union countries grew by 5.9 percent, and amounted to 101.1 billion cubic meters.
Gas transmission through Ukrainian gas pipelines, including for Ukrainian consumers, has grown by 4.7 percent – to 156.9 billion cubic meters.
