Medvedev chairs meeting on development of RF’s banking sector

The working group headed by Sberbank’s CEO German Gref and MDM’s CEO Oleg Vyugin presented its analysis

MOSCOW, March 12 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev chaired on Monday a meeting on economic issues.

The main topic of the meeting with the ministers of the economic bloc and representatives of businesses was development of the banking sector in Russia. Among other issues, the working group headed by Sberbank’s CEO German Gref and MDM’s CEO Oleg Vyugin presented its analysis.

The meeting was organized in the framework of regular consultations on economic issues in the framework of discussing Strategy 2020 and benchmarks of development of Russia’s economy.

The meeting featured head of the Kremlin’s administration Sergei Ivanov, presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Minister of Economic Development Elvira Nabiullina, Head of the Bank of Russia Sergei Ignatyev, Chancellor of Russia’s Academy of Economics and State Service supervised by the president of Russia – Vladimir Mau, Sberbank’s CEO German Gref, Head of VTB Andrei Kostin, Chancellor of the Higher School of Economics Yaroslav Kuzminov, VTB-24’s President and CEO Mikhail Zadornov, COB of Alfa Bank Group Peter Aven, President of the Association of Russian Banks Garegin Tosunyan, Director of the Physics Institute named after P.N. Lebedev of Russia’s Academy of Sciences Gennady Mesyats, COB of the Russian Standard Bank Rustam Tariko.
