MOSCOW, March 12 (Itar-Tass) — Syria is ready to rebuff any foreign military intervention, Syrian Ambassador in Moscow Riad Haddad said on Monday.
“If there a military intervention is undertaken in Syria, it will cause many consequences,” the diplomat said. “The West understands very well that the aggression against Syria will not be easy.”
At the same time he drew attention to the fact that at the present time a covert foreign aggression against Syria has already been undertaken by means of financial support for the Syrian opposition and supplying it with arms.
Haddad said that the Syrian army is ready to rebuff any aggression. “Syria’s armed forces are ready for anything,” he said. “We are ready to rebuff any aggression.”
