MOSCOW, March 11 (Itar-Tass) —— A teenage boy died as he hit the ice with his head while sliding down a hill in a Moscow suburb, local police told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
According to police the accident took place near the Artus hotel in Moscow region’s Mytishchi district. “A 12-year-old boy from the town of Podolsk received a cerebral injury as he fell down while sliding down an icy hill. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter. He was in condition of apparent death and died in hospital,” police said.
Another such case was reported in Moscow on February 20. A three-year-old girl received a lethal injury while going down a slide at a kindergarten. Forensic examination revealed that the girl died of suffocation. A criminal case was opened on charges of causing accidental death. An investigation is underway.
