MOSCOW, March 11 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s ex-finance minister Alexei Kudrin has once again confirmed that he has no plans to work in a new government.
“On September 24 I announced my decision that I will not work in a new government,” he wrote in his microblog on Twitter in reply to the question of one of bloggers whether he saw himself working in a new Cabinet.
Alexei Kudrin resigned on September 26, 2011, after a public dispute with President Dmitry Medvedev. After his resignation he repeatedly announced that he was ready to take part in the creation of a new political party and planned to support the project promoting a substantial dialogue between the civil society and the authorities.
Last Thursday Prime Minister Vladimir Putin who won the March 4 presidential race announced that in the shortest possible timeframe he planned to start consultations with Incumbent President Dmitry Medvedev on forming a new government.
