Nine people, including seven children, die in fire in Perm Territory

They were handed over to ambulance medics who stated the death of the victims

PERM, March 9 (Itar-Tass) — All the nine people who died in a fire in the Perm Territory, were one and the same family, Itar-Tass learnt from the Perm territorial branch of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies.

“The fire erupted on the ground floor of the four-story building where their flat was. According to preliminary data, all the dead – a man and a woman as well as five boys and two girls – were one and the same family,” Itar-Tass learnt from press service head of the territorial branch of the ministry Oksana Butina.

“The signal on a fire at an apartment house in the village of Mokhovoye of the Kungur district was received by an officer on duty on Friday at 10.30 local time. While fighting the blazes, firemen found the bodies of a man, a woman and seven children.

They were handed over to ambulance medics who stated the death of the victims. A reason for the fire is being established.
