MAKHACHKALA, March 7 (Itar-Tass) —— The widow of a warlord, which was destroyed in a special operation, could commit a terrorist act in the Dagestani village of Karabudakhkent that killed five policemen and injured two policemen, according to specified reports, sources in the republican law enforcement agencies told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
“This is one of the theories, which the detectives stick to now,” the spokesman of the Dagestani investigation department of the Investigation Committee said. “Final results can be expected after the identification (a female terrorist) and other criminal procedures,” he noted.
The detectives found that on Tuesday evening a woman was seeking to get to a police post at the entry to Karabudakhkent. She was stopped by the police at the entrance in the police post building. At that moment she detonated an explosive device with the power of two kilograms of TNT, which was staffed with metal striking pieces. She planted the bomb on herself.
The bomb explosion killed five policemen, another two were injured. The head of the female terrorist was found several dozen meters away from the blast site.
The team of detectives keeps working at the incident site. A criminal case is about to be opened.
