MOSCOW, March 6 (Itar-Tass) —— The number of household gas network accidents in Russia grew six times this year, head of the Emergency Situations Ministry’s National Crisis Management Center Vladimir Stepanov said.
There were 25 emergencies in February, the biggest of them in Astrakhan where a household gas explosion killed ten people, he said.
The number of public utility and transport accidents has also grown. “The Krasnodar territory alone reported a 12-times increase of power outages in the past two months alone,” Stepanov said.
