MOSCOW, March 6 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Foreign Ministry strongly recommended Russian citizens to refrain from any trips to Yemen, a ministry official said on Tuesday.
“The situation in Yemen continues to remain tense,” the official said. “In particular, of late militants of the Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula organization, who act in southern Yemen and take actions against Yemen’s regular army units became more active.”
“In this respect we once again reiterate the Russian Foreign Ministry’s urgent recommendations for our citizens to refrain from any trips to the Republic of Yemen,” the official said.
