Govenment has to inject 151 billion roubles into nano industry by 2020

The goals set by Russia’s state-run hi-tech corporation ROSNANO to produce nano goods worth 900 billion roubles by 2015 can be fulfilled only under the government’s support

MOSCOW, March 6 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s government has to inject a total of 151 billion roubles into the nano industry by 2020, a representative of the Russian Research Centre “Kurchatov Institute”, Vladimir Zhulego, said on Tuesday.

Representing the state program for the development of the nano industry he noted that the goals set by Russia’s state-run hi-tech corporation ROSNANO to produce nano goods worth 900 billion roubles by 2015 can be fulfilled only under the government’s support.

If the government cuts the financing, Moscow’s nano cluster will grow, but those in regions will begin “to die out”, as it will “eat them up.”

ROSNANO official Sergei Kalyuzhny underlined that the Moscow region, Tomsk and Novosibirsk are key regions for the development of the country’s nano industry.
