Zyuganov says he will not congratulate Putin on victory in elections

Zyuganov stressed that the Communist Party considered the presidential elections unfair

MOSCOW, March 5 (Itar-Tass) — Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said he would not congratulate Vladimir Putin’s team on the victory in presidential elections.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Zyuganov said, “I believe that either Vladimir Putin’s team, or himself, or the country must not be congratulated on the victory in such elections because all lose.”

According to the Communist Party leader, “the election boom will end soon. Then it is necessary to work. Unfortunately, Putin and his team have not proposed any agenda or the resolution of painful problems.”

He stressed that the Communist Party considered the presidential elections unfair. At the same time, Zyuganov said, “This does not mean that we will give up a dialogue with anyone.”

There are two ways to solve the problems by “pebble with a rifle or by dialogue. I prefer a dialogue”, the Communist Party leader said.
