ASTANA, March 5 (Itar-Tass) —— Vladimir Putin’s presidency will ensure the implementation of agreements aimed at strengthening friendly relations between Russia and Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
By voting for Putin on March 4 the people of Russia “made their choice in favour of continued policy aimed at effective tapping of the country’s potential,” the Kazakhstani president said.
Earlier in the day he sent a telegram to Putin to congratulate him oт the victory.
“I am convinced that by leaning on the support of the Russian people you will use all of your knowledge, effort and expertise for further economic growth, social prosperity, preservation of political stability and strengthening of the international authority of the Russian Federation,” Nazarbayev said.
