MOSCOW, March 4 (Itar-Tass) — Three policemen died in a militants attack on a polling station in Dagestan; one militant was killed, the Russian Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass.
“Three militants opened gunfire at a police vehicle when policemen were preparing to transport ballots from a polling station in the village Oktyarskoye, Khasavyurt district,” the ministry said.
It said that the killed militant was on the federal wanted list. He was carrying an automatic gun and a grenade at the attack moment. The ballots are safe, the ministry said.
