BANGKOK, March 4 (Itar-Tass) — Two Russians died and another two were injured in a road accident in Thailand.
In all, the collision of a van and a truck in the southwestern province Phangnga killed four and injured five people. The media said that the van was carrying citizens of Russia, Ukraine and Turkey from a Similan Islands tour.
“The road accident killed Russian citizens Yulia Krinitsyna, born in 1986, and Vladimir Serbakov, born in 1980. Two Russians – Svetlana Luzina and Vladimir Serbakov’s father Alexander – were taken to the hospital,” Vitaly Anopov from the Russian embassy in Thailand told Itar-Tass.
The truck driver lost control and hit the tourist van on a counter lane. Both drivers survived the collision. The van driver escaped from the accident scene. The police are searching for him.
