MOSCOW, March 4 (Itar-Tass) —— Police patrols are reinforced and buses carrying OMON and Interior Ministry Forces servicemen are parked in downtown Moscow ahead of Sunday night rallies.
Manezh Square is cordoned; people going inside have to pass through metal detectors. The same is happening on Bolotnaya Square.
The rallies of youth organizations in support of a presidential candidate are planned to start on Bolotnaya, Manezh and Revolution Squares at 9:00 p.m.
Participants in the rally, “Choice is Made. Long Live Russia,” have started coming to Lubyanskaya Square. Their number does not exceed 100 so far. “We planned to draw 800 participants, but the actual number might be larger,” press secretary of the United Action Staff Mikhail Dukhovich said. The Staff unites Mestnye (Locals), Young Russia, New People and Group for Change movements.
