Russia is interested in implementation of infrastructure projects - Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev

MOSCOW, March 1 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia will continue providing assistance and support to friendly Iraq in implementation of its plans to establish a strong, democratic, independent state with territory integrity – in the interests of Iraq’s people, the regional stability and security, reads an address of Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev, which the Russian delegation passed to Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki during a meeting on Thursday.

“For this purpose we are ready for joint work to activate and deepen the bilateral trade and economic relations using the rich gained experience in cooperation,” the address reads. “Russia is interested in implementation of infrastructure projects, including those in energy, agriculture, water resources, science, culture and training. Russia’s business community is ready to make its input in improvement of relations in those spheres.”
