MOSCOW, February 29 (Itar-Tass) —— Prime Minister and presidential candidate Vladimir Putin said political culture in society needs to be improved.

“I would like the level of political culture to be higher,” Putin said at a meeting with his confidants and members of the All-Russia People’s Front on Wednesday, February 29.

He stressed that the level of political culture is directly related to the overall level of culture in society. “All other spheres are directly related to the overall level of culture, and I hope very much that it will gradually improve,” he said.

In his opinion, this is directly linked to the strengthening of the state. “For the state to be stable and for us to retain our sovereignty, we need the political system to be self-sufficient,” Putin said.

At the same time, he stressed that it is necessary to ensure that the political system evolves “but that national traitors do not come to the surface with the foam”.
