Final reports from the polling stations must be sent by 9:00 March 5

Churov notes that any violations may cast doubt on the work of millions of people organizing the elections

MOSCOW, February 28 (Itar-Tass) —— The final reports from the district election commissions in the presidential elections must be sent through the State Automated System (GAS Vybory) by 09:00 a.m., March 5, Russian Central Election Commission Chairman Vladimir Churov told heads of election commissions of various levels during their all-Russia telephone conference on Tuesday.

"In case of delay, I will immediately inform the Prosecutor-General's Office, at the same moment, the same minute," he stressed.

According to Churov, any delay or recommendations to delay the process will be a reason to inform the prosecutor's office.

“There is such information from one region,” he said, adding that it would be reported to the Prosecutor-General's Office.

The CEC chief highlighted the necessity to strictly observe the law.

Any violations may cast doubt on the work of millions of people organizing the elections, he noted.

"Only we are responsible for the purity of the election campaign," he noted, addressing heads of election commissions.

Churov also noted the great contribution of ministries and departments to the election organization.

The presidential elections will be held in Russia on March 4.
