ST. PETERSBURG, February 26 (Itar-Tass) —— About 800 people took part in the opposition march and rally For Fair Elections in St. Petersburg on Sunday. The organizers said that the action would draw 30,000 people, the city police department told Itar-Tass.

The police said that no incidents happened during the action.

The campaign was held by the Communist Party, A Just Russia, Yabloko and non-systemic opposition. The rally lasted for about two hours, and no more than 200 people were left on the square by the time it ended. Presidential candidate Sergei Mironov (A Just Russia) was one of the speakers.

The Saturday march in St. Petersburg involved 2,500 people (while the petition said it would draw 25,000). The organizers claimed the participation of 15,000.
