MOSCOW, February 26 (Itar-Tass) —— The number of Russia’s supporters has doubled, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said at the founding congress of the Russian People’s Front Voluntary Movement in Support of the Armed Forces and the Defense Sector attended by 3,804 delegates.
“We have four allies: the Army, the Navy, the defense sector and Vladimir Putin,” Rogozin told the delegates. “Our policy must be a steel fist in a kid glove. It is bound to transform foes into partners, partners into neutrals and allies into friends. No one should doubt that there is a steel fist inside a kid globe, and this fist is ready to strike on an aggressor or a group of aggressors if they wish to attack Russia.”
He said that white ribbons worn by the opposition resembled him of the white flag of surrender. It is said frequently that Moscow is against Putin, Rogozin said, adding that Moscow was not the whole Russia, and Bolotnaya Square was not the whole Moscow.
Putin sent greetings to the congress participants.
“The establishment of your public organization is an exclusively important and useful deed. The voluntary movement is bound to unite defense plant collectives, veterans’ and youth organizations, military patriotic clubs, scientists, engineers, designers and people of various professions, ages and political viewpoints – all those who are proud of Russia and its heroic history and seek to make a personal contribution to the strengthening of the country’s defense ability and its international authority,” the greetings run.
