About 1,000 opposition members take part in flash mob on Revolution Square

Тwo young women were detained for trying to burn impromptu hanging gallows with an incendiary liquid

MOSCOW, February 26 (Itar-Tass) —— About 1,000 people took part in the flash mob action, which bid farewell to ‘political winter’ on Moscow Revolution Square on Sunday, the city police told Itar-Tass.

All is quiet on the square and the police are trying to bar the opposition from the place. Opposition co-leader Boris Nemtsov visited the square, and a group of people gathered around him. Left Front coordinator Sergei Udaltsov visited the square earlier.

Two young women were detained for trying to burn impromptu hanging gallows with an incendiary liquid. Police patrols around the square were reinforced.

Udaltsov said that the city authorities had denied approval to the opposition rally and the action on Revolution Square was held in the form of a flash mob.
