MOSCOW, February 26 (Itar-Tass) —— Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the founding congress of the Russian People’s Front Voluntary Movement in Support of the Armed Forces and the Defense Sector.
“The establishment of your public organization is an exclusively important and useful deed. The voluntary movement is bound to unite defense plant collectives, veterans’ and youth organizations, military patriotic clubs, scientists, engineers, designers and people of various professions, ages and political viewpoints – all those who are proud of Russia and its heroic history and seek to make a personal contribution to the strengthening of the country’s defense ability and its international authority,” the greetings run.
About 4,000 delegates from all regions of Russia are taking part in the founding congress, Lidia Mikhailova, press secretary of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, said.
