Sukhoi Superjet 100 gets an EASA certificate

On Friday Russia’s Sukhoi SuperJet 100 regional aircraft received a certificate of the European Aviation Safety Agency

MOSCOW, February 24 (Itar-Tass) — On Friday Russia’s Sukhoi SuperJet 100 regional aircraft received a certificate of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

The ceremony of handing over the certificate to the designer, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, was held at the headquarters of the Interstate Aviation Committee in Moscow. The certificate confirms that the designer demonstrated conformity of the aircraft with EASA's requirements for airworthiness and environmental impact.

The EASA certificate allows European carriers and airline carriers from the countries that have adopted EASA standards, to operate Sukhoi SuperJet aircraft.
