Over 2,000 people take part in Communist rally in downtown Moscow

The rally was held in front of the monument to Karl Marx. Organizers planned to draw up to 5,000 people

MOSCOW, February 23 (Itar-Tass) —— More than 2,000 people took part in a Communist rally in downtown Moscow on Thursday, a spokesman for the Moscow police department told Itar-Tass.

“More than 2,000 gathered in Moscow’s Teatralnaya Square for a rally organized by the Moscow branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF),” the spokesman said.

The rally was held in front of the monument to Karl Marx. Organizers planned to draw up to 5,000 people.
