Medvedev lays wreath at Unknown Soldier's Tomb in Moscow Thurs

MOSCOW, February 23 (Itar-Tass) — On the Fatherland Defenders Day, President Dmitry Medvedev laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier's Tomb here on Thursday. He arrived at the Alexander Garden ahead of a Kremlin ceremony marking the presentation of certificates conferring the title of "City of Military Glory".

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, the leadership of the upper and lower houses of parliament, and veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 also took part in the wreath-laying ceremony.
