Russia’s inflation slightly over zero on Feb 14-20

Gasoline prices did not change, and diesel fuel prices decreased by 0.1 percent

MOSCOW, February 22 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s inflation was 0.1 percent in the week of February 14-20 and 0.8 percent since the beginning of the year, Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday, February 22.

The price of granulated sugar increased by 0.2 percent, salt by 1.3 percent, lamb meat by 1 percent, frozen fish, beef and vodka by 0.3-0.4 percent.

At the same time, buckwheat and millet prices went down by 1.5 percent, and the price of rice, butter, sunflower seed oil and chicken meat dropped by 0.2-0.3 percent.

Fruit and vegetable prices grew by 0.6 percent on the average, including cabbage by 3.1 percent, carrot by 1 percent, and potato by 0.8 percent.
