MOSCOW, February 22 (Itar-Tass) — Russia is convinced that any scenarios of military intervention in the Middle East are counterproductive, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said on Wednesday.
“The fate of the region’s countries should be solved without outside interference. Force should not be used,” Gatilov said.
“What happens should be based on a national dialogue. Crises should be settled by talks between the authorities and the opposition,” the Russian deputy foreign minister said.
