ST. PETERSBURG, February 21 (Itar-Tass) —— The March 4 presidential election in Russia has a chance to become the fairest election in Russia ever, ex-head of the Right Cause Party’s Moscow regional organization Boris Nadezhdin told members of the Observers Corps “For Fair Elections” in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.

Web cameras at polling stations and a large number of observers, “who can paralyze the will of falsifiers”, are a token, he said.

If tens of thousands of election observers who witness the count of votes confirm the election outcome, that will have a huge importance for the recognition of the election legitimacy, he said.

The Observers Corps formed by the initiative of the Association of Russian Lawyers and some other organizations has about 60,000 members at present. Most of them are students of law schools.

The Corps has about 2,000 members in St. Petersburg. That is sufficient for watching the ballot at about 1,800 polling stations.
