Russia and Israel discuss resumption of israeli-Palestinian talks

The parties also discussed certain issues of the development of Russian-Israeli relations

MOSCOW, February 20 (Itar-Tass) — Russian presidential special envoy for the Middle East, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met Israeli Ambassador in Moscow Dorit Golender on Monday to discuss prospects for resuming the Palestinian-Israeli talks.

“During the meeting, Mikhail Bogdanov and Dorit Golender exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and discussed prospects for resuming the Palestinian-Israeli talks, including in the context of the Quartet’s efforts in this aspect,” the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

“The parties also discussed certain issues of the development of Russian-Israeli relations. They confirmed common interest in further strengthening of the political dialogue and expanding mutually advantageous cooperation in different fields,” the ministry said.
