VLADIVOSTOK, February 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The fire at the Primorye hotel in Vladivostok was localized at 12:58 local time (05:58 Moscow time), the press service of the Primorsky territorial branch of the main Russian Emergency Situation Ministry department told Itar-Tass on Monday.
The fire broke out in the utility room on the third floor of a five-storey hotel. Seven fire engines are working at the fire site. Some 26 people were evacuated from the hotel.
According to preliminary reports, no people were injured in the fire.
The fire alarm call to the emergency duty officer came at 12:15 local time (05:15 Moscow time) about a fire at the Primorye hotel.
The five-storey hotel Primorye, which was built in 1964, is situated in the very centre of the city, near the railway station and the central square. The hotel has 110 rooms. Many residential and administrative buildings are situated nearby.
