Oil transit supplies via Belarus to increase by 10%

Starting from April 1 Belarus will increase by 10% the oil transit rate along Belarusian trunk oil pipelines

MINSK, February 17 (Itar-Tass) —— Starting from April 1 Belarus will increase by 10% the oil transit rate along Belarusian trunk oil pipelines. This decision is envisaged in a resolution of the Belarusian Economy Ministry made public on Friday.

According to the resolution, a new oil transit rate is set at 2.09 dollars per tonne of oil products for each 100 kilometres of delivery.

Last time the oil transit rate went up to 1.9 dollars per tonne for each 100 kilometres since June 1, 2011.

The Russian enterprise West-Transnefteprodukt, which is a subsidiary of the Russian joint stock company Transnefteprodukt, provides oil transit supplies through Belarus. Average annual oil transit supplies via Belarus make nine million tonnes.
