YEKATERINBURG, February 17 (Itar-Tass) —— A criminal case has been opened over the suicide of an eleven-year-old boy in the city of Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk region, a spokesman for the regional administration of the Russian Investigations Committee told Itar-Tass on Friday.
The boy’s body was found with a handbag strap loop around his neck in a cloths locker on February 14. According to preliminary data, the boy died of asphyxia.
“Investigators examined the room and appointed a forensic study to establish what caused the boy’s death. They are also interrogating the boy’s relatives, friends and classmates,” the spokesman said.
The criminal case was opened on charges of incitement to suicide, although investigators do not rule out it was a fatal accident.
