KIROV, February 16 (Itar-Tass) — Law-enforcement agents detained an aide to the prosecutor of Kirov's Lenin district as he was taking a 100,000-rouble bribe, an official at the regional department of the Investigative Committee told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
The suspect was detained by agents of the Federal Security Service as he was taking money from a business person in exchange for dropping prosecutor's inspection results, violations in the business person's economic activities were found as a result of this inspection.
According to the investigator, the prosecutor's aide promised not to hold the businessman responsible in exchange for remuneration.
Criminal proceedings were opened over "attempted bribe-taking by an official."
