Zhirinovsky is ready to sign an agreement on joint control with the League of Voters

MOSCOW, February 16 (Itar-Tass) —— Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who is running for Russian president, said on Thursday he is ready to sign an agreement with the League of Voters on joint control over presidential polls due on March 4.

“We are ready to help anyone, who wants to become our observer. We are ready to ink an agreement on control over the elections with any organization,” he told a news conference.

Earlier in the day, the League of Voters signed cooperation agreements with two presidential candidates, namely with leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) Gennady Zyuganov and self-nominee Mikhail Prokhorov. The agreements provide for the pooling of efforts in creating a common database, called a “Summary Protocol” of observer reports. The database will be available online.
