About 47,000 people left without electricity in Chechnya

All socially important facilities and four of the district's hospitals are fed from reserve sources and operate in a regular mode

GROZNY, February 16 (Itar-Tass) — Due to unknown reasons electricity supply have been cut in the Nozhai Yurt district of Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Chechnya, leaving almost 47,000 residents without electricity, a spokesman for the republican emergencies administration told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

According to the spokesman, all socially important facilities and four of the district's hospitals are fed from reserve sources and operate in a regular mode.

Specialists are taking effort to find out what caused electricity cuts.
