MOSCOW, February 15 (Itar-Tass) — The “Friends of Syria” group provides financial assistance to terrorist groups on the Syrian territory, Syrian ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad said on Wednesday.

“One of the group’s main goals is to support and finance terrorist groups,” he noted.

“This bloody, almost global war against Syria is diplomatic, economic, informational and military,” he said.

Haddad added that according to the information obtained by the Syrian authorities, armed groups having several thousands in their ranks operate on the country’s territory.
