Fire put out at Perm's gymnasium

No casualties reported

PERM, February 15 (Itar-Tass) — The fire, which broke out at the Perm gymnasium number 17, was put out, no casualties were reported, a source in the Perm territorial branch of the main Emergency Situation Ministry department told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

The scaffolding mounted on the school facade was on fire, the source said. However, the fire area was insignificant, because the firemen put it down immediately.

The gymnasium building is an architectural monument built in the nineteenth century. The school has been operating in the building since 1898. The house previously belonged to a merchant Mikhail Lyubimov. The school is under overhaul and all schoolchildren were distributed to the neighbouring educational institutions, the source said.
