Passenger jetliner makes an emergency landing in Kurgan, no one hurt

A Tupolev Tu-154M passenger jetliner en route from Kurgan to Moscow made an emergency landing in Kurgan

TYUMEN, February 14 (Itar-Tass) —— A Tupolev Tu-154M passenger jetliner en route from Kurgan to Moscow made an emergency landing in Kurgan, the Urals transport investigation department of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass.

The plane took off from Kurgan at about 12:00 p.m. local time (10:00 a.m. Moscow time). A wing slat malfunction occurred soon after the takeoff and the plane had to go back to the departure airport.

It had 42 passengers and five crewmembers aboard. The landing was successful. No one was hurt and no damage was sustained.
