MADRID, Feb. 13. / ITAR-TASS /. The Spanish airline Iberia canceled 127 flights as its staff has gone on strike. The cancelled flights affect the European countries as well as the United States. The flights to Moscow scheduled for the 13, 17 and 20 February have not been affected by the strike.

All together there are 5 protest actions that are planned for this month, for the 13,17,20,24 and 29 of February. This time the pilots were joined by the crews. They are opposed to creating a new budget  airline "Iberia Express," which they believe will lead to job losses and lower wages.

For passengers of the canceled flights a refund for the tickets is offered or a possibility to travel with a different airline..

The current strike is the sixth within the course of the past 2 months.  Each of them, according to the company, affects the interests of more than 50 thousand passengers.
