SINGAPORE, February 13 (Itar-Tass) —— Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force Colonel-General Alexander Zelin arrived to Singapore to participate in the work of Singapore Air Show 2012, which will be held at Changi Exhibition Center from February 14 to 19.
As a spokesman for the Singapore Ministry of Defense told ARMS-TASS , the Russian Air Force Commander-in-Chief arrived in the country for a working visit at the invitation of Commander-in-Chief of the Singaporean Air Force Brigadier General Ng Chee Meng. The visit will last until February 16.
“The visit is taking place within the framework of development and strengthening of bilateral ties between the Russian and Singaporean Armed Forces in the field of military aviation, the ministry’s spokesman said. “Besides, Alexander Zelin will take part in the work of Singapore Air Show 2012 and the international conferences on security in the Asia-Pacific region and aerospace technologies and engineering.
Within the framework of the working visit, Alexander Zelin will hold meetings with Ng Chee Meng and Interior Minister of Singapore Teo Chee Hean.
