PYONGYANG, February 11 (Itar-Tass) — Chairman of the presidium of North Korean parliament Kim Yong-Nam sent a telegram to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, congratulating the Iranian president “on the 33rd anniversary of the victorious Islamic revolution”.
The KCNA news agency reports the message notes that Iranian people have achieved “numerous successes, defending the country’s sovereignty and dignity of the nation, while insuring peace, stability and development in the region”.
The head of the North Korean parliament expressed confidence that bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation that developed between the DPRK and Iran, “will develop, as before, despite the difficult international situation”. He also wished Ahmadinejad great achievements “in creating a powerful state in Iran”.
