MOSCOW, February 9 (Itar-Tass) — Russia hopes that assessments to be given by the international observers concerning March 4 presidential elections will be unbiased, Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Thursday.
“We believe that foreign observers contribute to democracy and facilitate development of inter-parliamentary cooperation. As we know OSCE and PACE observers will jointly monitor the presidential elections in Russia,” the diplomat said.
“We hope that assessments to be given by the international observers will be objective, unbiased and non-politicised,” Lukashevich stressed.
