Leaders of major international financial funds will discuss long-term foreign direct investments in Russia’s regions

KRASNOYARSK, February 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Leaders of major international financial funds will discuss long-term foreign direct investments in Russia’s regions.

The topic will be on the agenda of the IX Krasnoyarsk economic forum under the supervision of Russia’s Agency for Strategic Initiatives /ASI/.

ASI’s Director General Andrei Nikitin said that “one of agency’s initiatives is improvement of regional investment climate, which requires development of core institutions, as well as organization of events to provide sets of services for investors.”

Deputy Governor of the territory Andrei Gnezdilov said “raising investment attractiveness is a major strategic initiative of the region.”

“Our task is to provide the territory with a complex of services necessary for a favorable investment climate,” he added.

The discussion will feature managers of investment funds Macquarie Capital, CIC, Caisse des Depots, Apollo, APAX, CVCI, Goldman Sachs. The total assets managed by the funds exceed 1.2 trillion dollars.

The IX Krasnoyarsk economic forum is due to take place on February 16-18. Its main topic is “Time of Strategic Initiatives.” The purpose of the forum is to forecast and discuss strategic initiatives for the social and economic development of Russia and its regions in the next electoral and investment cycles.
