MOSCOW, February 8 (Itar-Tass) — Police in the Moscow region is investigating the suicide of two schoolgirls who jumped from the top of a 16-storey building in the town of Lobnya, an official at the main department of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow region told Itar-Tass.
The bodies of two underage girls were found near a high-rise apartment building on Chaikovsky Street. They died from fall-related injured, police said.
"According to eye-witnesses' accounts, the girls took each other's hands before jumping down. They have been identified," the Investigative Committee official said.
The official confirmed that a suicide note was found on one of the girls.
Police are looking into the motives behind the suicide.
