MOSCOW, February 6. (ITAR-TASS ). Today Grigory Yavlinsky challenged CEC's decision to refuse to register him as a candidate for the presidential election.
"The Supreme Court received an appeal challenging the CEC's decision to refuse a registration of a candidate" -Sergei Mitrokhin, chairman of "Yabloko" party told ITAR-TASS. He clarified that the appeal was "signed by Yavlinsky with legal the participation of" Yabloko "that nominated him as a presidential candidate.
According to Mitrokhin, the suit contains two "simple demands": to cancel the CEC's decision from January 27, concerning refusal to register the candidate and to oblige the committee to register Yavlinsky as a presidential candidate.
He noted that according to the law, the court must consider Yavlinsky's appeal within five days.
