BEIJING, February 6 (Itar-Tass) — A facility on producing Russia’s Mi-2A helicopters is being set up in China.

An agreement to this effect was reached between Rostvertol (Rostov helicopter plant) and the Chinese aircraft building company.

The facility will be built in Hebei Province, near Beijing, by the end of July.

According to China, every year a total of 100 Mi-2A light civilian helicopters will be assembled at this facility. Investments reach at least 1.4 billion yuan (224 million U.S. dollars). The facility will work as a repair shop for the Russian Mi helicopters in the Asian region.
