Investigators search Mosoblbank headquarters

Police said they searched Mosoblbank headquarters in the framework of an investigated criminal case

MOSCOW, February 3 (Itar-Tass) —— Investigators on Thursday searched the headquarters of a Russian bank in Moscow whose management said the target was a client of the institution rather than the bank itself.

Mosoblbank, whose board of directors is chaired by former State Duma speaker Gennady Seleznyov, is among top hundred Russian banks.

“Mosoblbank officially states the check in our financial institution has no direct relation to the operations of the Bank and was carried out in relation to one client who has an account in the institution. The management has handed over all the necessary documents to investigators who assured the check will not affect any of the main factors that ensure stable operations and development of our company and will not create difficulties for our clients,” the bank said.

Police said they searched Mosoblbank headquarters in the framework of an investigated criminal case.
