MOSCOW, February 2 (Itar-Tass) — Russia is against any weapons supplies to Georgia, Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov said.
“We are categorically against any weapons supplies to the Saakashvili regime. If such decision is taken, it will destabilise the situation in the Caucasus,” Antonov said on Thursday.
The deputy defence minister commented on mass media reports saying Georgia and the U.S. took a decision to resume American weapons supplies during the recent summit.
