Russian corporate legislation to be harmonized with the European one

Putin claims that Russian corporate legislation will be harmonized with the legislation of the leading European countries

MOSCOW, February 2 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian corporate legislation will be harmonized with the legislation of the leading European countries, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin stated at Russia Forum-2012.

“By all parameters we shall be harmonizing our corporate legislation with the legislation of our partners, in the first place, the European ones,” he said. In Putin’s opinion it is necessary to introduce the best practices in the sphere of joint stock agreements.

Also, Putin said that non-governmental associations of businessmen would be empowered to file lawsuits to protect the interests of businessmen, which would give the owners of small businesses a chance to defend their rights.
